Google Public DNS

Hey Guys here, do you still remember how i introduce the google chrome? how was it? fast? well...here is another insane technology implemented by google and with this help u could be surfing the internet faster....i bet u will like this 100%

Well...today im gonna introduce Google Public DNS...so what is DNS actually?

Domain Name System (DNS) is a database system that translates a computer's fully qualified domain name into an IP address. meaning every website domain name u type in for example www.google.com is actually a domain name to mask its actual address, the actual address might looks like 192.168.1.1 or sumthing like that...

So...normally if u guys here are using SO CALLED BEST BROADBAND AMONG THE WORST in malaysia...STREAMYX then u could really need to have a try on this and im garanty u will be satisfied.

normally when u sign up for streamyx there is a default streamyx DNS which they will setup for u when the technician came...well...whats wrong with the streamyx default DNS?

answer will be the streamyx DNS have blocked and throttle most of the website for example famous gutteruncensored or youtube to save their bandwidth. And normally u load a website it is freaking slow and need to wait up to few second...with GOOGLE PUBLIC DNS...everything seems to changed...a new born saver for malaysian broadband user!!

well...now i will talk about my experience about the google dns...after switching it...i load any of the website is juz like instanly...no wait time...for youtube video...no more pause and buffering...it loads straight without pausing...
this is a very good experience that u guys should really try it!!

So...how to change,,,i will make a short tutorial on Windows Vista ONLY...sorry...cause im using vista ...haha..

Step 7: Click OK and u are done!! You can Test Your Setting isit successful by following the instructions.

Testing your new settings

To test that the Google DNS resolver is working:
  1. From your browser, type in a hostname, such as http://www.google.com. If it resolves correctly, bookmark the page, and try accessing the page from the bookmark. If both of these tests work, everything is working correctly. If not, go to step 2.
  2. From your browser, type in a fixed IP address. You can use http://18.62.1.6/ (which points to the website http://eecs.mit.edu/) as the URL*. If this works correctly, bookmark the page, and try accessing the page from the bookmark. If these tests work (but step 1 fails), then there is a problem with your DNS configuration; check the steps above to make sure you have configured everything correctly. If these tests do not work, go to step 3.
  3. Roll back the DNS changes you made and run the tests again. If the tests still do not work, then there is a problem with your network settings; contact your ISP or network administrator for assistance.
* Google thanks MIT for granting permission to use this URL for the purposes of testing web connectivity.

Welcome to Give Feedback and your experience after testing it!!
